* Summer tuition deadlines vary depending on course date. If the class begins before June 10, 2008 tuition is due by the first day of class. If your enrollment occurs after June 11, 2008 tuition is due at time of enrollment.
Pay Online by Credit or Debit Card
Access the web site http://www.pittstate.edu. Log on to GUS using your GUS ID and PIN number. Click on Student Accounts. Follow the instructions for paying tuition with a credit card. Fees may be paid with Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express. eProxy Access may be given on GUS for someone else to view/pay your fees.
Pay by Mail
Access Student Accounts to print a copy of your fee statement. Send your fee statement with total payment due to Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts, Pittsburg State University, 1701 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762-7535. Make your check or money order payable to Pittsburg State University.
Pay by Credit or Debit Card
Fees may be paid with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express by sending your card number and expiration date with your Fee Statement. To pay by phone contact Cashiers and Student Accounts office at 620-235-4092.
Pay in Person
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts, Room 112, Horace Mann. A deposit slot is available for after hours payment until 4:30 p.m.
Financial Aid
Students can apply for financial assistance (i.e. grants, scholarships, or student loans). Visit Financial Assistance web site at http://www.pittstate.edu/finaid/.
Any students that are unable to pay by the above-mentioned methods by deadline (see above) should contact the Cashiers and Student Accounts Office, Room 112 Horarce Mann, office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., M-F or by phone at 620-235-4092 to discuss alternative methods.
IF YOU HAVE A LOAN, GRANT, SCHOLARSHIP, OR OUTSIDE SPONSORSHIP
Students are required to access GUS on-line to verify their enrollment in order to have their financial aid applied to their accounts. This verification must be completed for EACH new semester. Students will access the web site http://www.pittstate.edu Click on GUS. Enter your GUS ID and PIN #. If you do not have a GUS ID and PIN #, take photo ID to the OIS Dispatch Window, Room 109 Whitesitt. Through this process, students will verify the classes in which they have enrolled. All University charges are required to be paid in full before financial aid refunds will be disbursed to the student. If a student has any academic holds, this will also be noted on the web site Please note that students with a University HOLD on their records will be required to either have the hold removed or obtain permission from the applicable University department. Students may verify their enrollment for the current term via GUS at Verification of Enrollment for Distribution of Funds. See top of page for dates when this verification page becomes available. Students must maintain all financial assistance and University requirements (i.e. no academic holds, enrolled in the number of hours in which aid was based) to insure that their financial aid is available at the beginning of the semester.
Students will now receive any financial assistance refund monies through their new Gorilla ID card. The monies will be deposited into the student’s Gorilla checking account at Commerce Bank. The students may utilize their Gorilla ID card as an ATM card. Students should contact the Commerce Bank branch in the Overman Student Center (620) 235-6378 for any additional banking information. Students may also find additional information on the Gorilla Card web site, http://www.pittstate.edu/union/gorillacard/index.html. Should the student not wish to utilize the free checking account, the student may request a counter check for the funds from any of the four branches of Commerce Bank.
Students who pay fees by an outside loan, scholarship or sponsorship (3rd Party payment) of any kind must report to the Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts, Room 112, Horace Mann to have their student accounts validated by the tuition payment deadline. Failure to report to the Cashiers will result in cancellation of your enrollment.

LATE PENALTY FEE AND RETURNED CHECK FEE
Fees must be paid by 3:30 p.m. on the tuition payment deadline date. Students who fail to pay their fees by the due date will have their enrollment cancelled. Students enrolling or re-enrolling beginning the day after the tuition deadline (for Fall and Spring Semesters only), will be charged a late fee penalty of $30.00.
Students will be charged a $30.00 fee for returned checks.
ADDRESS INFORMATION
Addresses and other demographic information can be changed by you at the GUS Page through the Pittsburg State Home Page at http://www.pittstate.edu/gus/demographics. You may choose to have your address and/or phone number unlisted on the “on-line directory” under “Directory Preferences”.
STUDENTS WHO DO NOT PLAN TO ATTEND PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY
If you have early-enrolled, but have decided you will not attend Pittsburg State University this spring, please call the Registrar’s Office (620-235-4200) and indicate you wish to withdraw from all spring semester classes. We will cancel your enrollment and release your classes for use by other students.
PARKING
The entire campus is zoned for permit parking. Zone permits may be obtained at the University Police and Parking Services Office in Shirk Hall.
HOUSING FEES
Fees for university housing will be mailed by the Office of University Housing approximately 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.
TAXPAYER RELIEF ACT OF 1997
Important Tax Information
The Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 offers several educational tax benefits for students to consider. Taxpayers with qualifying tuition and related expenses may claim this benefit for themselves and their dependent children.
The Pittsburg State University Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts is required to report students who are attending at least half-time, and those students in a graduate program at PSU, to the Internal Revenue Service.
In January 2008, the Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts will mail the 1098-T (Tuition Payments Statement) with a detailed listing of all tuition, fee and related payment information, to each student who paid tuition at PSU in 2007.
This document will be mailed to your permanent address as listed by the Registrar’s Office. Students will also have the ability to retrieve their 1098-T information on GUS.
