Three popular theories of the financial market will be discussed, each of which contradicts the other two. During the past half century the principles of the efficient Market Theory have gradually gained popularity in the financial world, while at the same time they have been under constant attack, especially in recent years. The models of the New Investment Technology are becoming indespensable tools for the institutional investors as well as the individual investors. In this talk we will provide the mathematical background to some of the models.
